4. Discovery process and fees
For most projects, we begin with a scoped Discovery process to accurately understand your requirements before providing a project quote. Where a Discovery fee applies:
- The fee will be communicated to you before Discovery begins.
- If you proceed with the project following Discovery, the Discovery fee is adjusted against your final project quote.
- If you do not proceed with the project, the Discovery fee is non-refundable, as it compensates for the time and expertise involved in scoping your project.
- Specific terms (fee amount, validity period for crediting, etc.) will be confirmed with you directly and, where applicable, documented in a separate Discovery engagement agreement.
5. Payment terms
Payment terms (amounts, schedule, accepted payment methods) will be specified in your project proposal or agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Invoices are due upon the terms stated on the invoice.
- Late payments may result in a pause of ongoing work until payment is received.
- Prices are quoted exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
6. Intellectual property and ownership
a) Your content and assets: Any content, branding, or materials you provide to us remain your property.
b) Deliverables: Upon full payment for a completed project, ownership of the final website, store, or other agreed deliverables transfers to you, including source code and assets created specifically for your project, except for:
- Any third-party software, plugins, themes, licenses, or tools used in the build, which remain subject to their own licensing terms.
- Our own pre-existing tools, frameworks, or proprietary methods used to deliver the work, which we retain rights to.
c) Portfolio use: Unless you request otherwise in writing, we may reference completed projects (including screenshots and general project descriptions) in our portfolio, case studies, and marketing materials.
7. Client responsibilities
To deliver our services effectively, we rely on you to:
- Provide timely, accurate information, content, and feedback.
- Provide necessary access to existing systems, accounts, or platforms where required.
- Review and approve deliverables within agreed timeframes.
Delays in the above may affect project timelines.
8. Maintenance and ongoing services
Where ongoing maintenance or support services are provided, these are subject to separate terms (including applicable fees, typically billed monthly) as agreed between you and us.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mauryan Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our Website or services. Our total liability for any claim arising from a project shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that specific project.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination
Either party may terminate an ongoing project engagement as set out in the specific project agreement. Fees for work completed up to the point of termination remain payable.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. For clients based in the United States or other jurisdictions, specific governing law and dispute resolution terms for a given engagement may be addressed separately in the project agreement.
